March saw the Houses of the Oireachtas celebrating International Women's Day, with statements taken in the Dáil to mark the day. Leaders' Questions, meanwhile, heard debate on the triple lock as part of Ireland's international policy and the cost of living.
In the Seanad, Members discussed amendments on Committee Stage of the Health (Scoliosis Treatment Services) Bill 2024.

World Autism Month
Beginning with World Autism Awareness Day, April is celebrated by organisations and stakeholders as World Autism Month.
In collaboration with AsIAm, Ireland’s autism charity, we have worked to make Leinster House more accessible for autistic people and been awarded AsIAm's autism-friendly accreditation.

Ireland is a parliamentary democracy. The National Parliament (Oireachtas) consists of the President and two Houses: Dáil Éireann (House of Representatives) and Seanad Éireann (the Senate) whose functions and powers derive from the Constitution of Ireland enacted by the people on 1 July 1937. The Houses of the Oireachtas are situated at Leinster House, Dublin.
